Things are getting more professional now. I was able to connect a semi-pro weather station to collect temperature and humidity data from my rooms and log them at pachube. The prelimary documentation is online.

Have you considered posting the modified Java classes for integration with Pachube? I am considering doing this hack with the Conrad device as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
As I am not sure under which licence the .jar files are distributed I did not post the files here. There is no Licence mentioned in the documentation. But I can send them by email to you.
A major draw back is that the Conrad provided software stalles latest after one week of operation. This requires a restart of the java-app or very often even the operating system. Therefore, I am looking for a linux alternative for data logging.
